This is Takara's WINGS OF LUFTWAFFE series 3. Takara made 3 series of German aircrafts and rockets, first 2 series are no longer available on the market except random individual units commanding very high collector's prices. Series 3 was released in 2007 on the secondary market but with limited supply.
As with traditional model kits, all parts are attached on plastic frames, EXCEPT 2 major differences, all parts are 100% painted and no glue is required to assemble the airplanes, which are 2 major hassels of model making which turned off most potential model buyers. They have the same problem in selling models in Japan as in the United States, people want instant gratification, people don't want to mess with the paint and glue. Instead of fighting that by insisting on "no pain no gain" or "that is the way model making should be" as most American model sellers are doing, the Japanese decided to come 90%-95% of the way to meet consumers' demands, this strategy not only revived the model market but also created a brand new model market with mass of serious collectors eagerly awaiting each new releases and pay top dollars (well, YEN) for discontinued models. Whole new market with far more potential buyers have been opened.
Specific detailed instruction with aircraft history included, in Japanese. Intuitive good drawings are all anyone will need to put together the model in record time.
In each individual box, all painted parts on plastic kit frames, packed in multi-pockets bags, wit instruction and history sheets. No marking on individual box to tell you what is inside, the infamous Japanese "blind box" system. 12 boxes of mixed aircrafts in a display box.
ONLY $2 EACH AIRPLANE, professionally painted. Rule No.1 for any models, DO NOT TOUCH! most models break at slightly touch. Please touch and play with BC's Furuta's airplanes. You can snap in the perfect match parts and take them apart repeatedly, or you can glue down the parts for display, individual display stand is included with every airplane.
BC exclusively distributes full range of FURUTA (Japan) 3" prepainted airplane model kits, no messy painting, no glue, just snap in the absolutely perfect precision parts, talk about instant gratification for the video-game and fastfood generation. Losing model buyers? lack of younger model shoppers? they have the same problem in Japan, younger potential modelers do not want to spend the time to make models, their solution is to prepaint all parts (painting is the most difficult part and takes 80% of the time to make a model) and professionally assemble the major parts, i.e., they make the models as easy as possible, but still intentionally leave the last 5% of the final assembly to the consumers, which is always the main joy of model making. The new direction works, attracted millions of new modelers, created a new category and new industry. Understandably the die-hard hardcore modelers found these shortcuts unacceptable, initially, but eventually in Japan the original hardcore modelers turned out to be the most dedicated collectors of the new models. Quality is the main reason. Will they work for your store? is it the solution for American hobby retailers? these airplanes are your best chance to try them out, priced super low, quality super high, you will be convinced once you put together one airplane, then you just cannot stop making more. BC gets many calls from consumers complaining their local stores are not getting airplanes in fast enough, retailers reported shoppers coming back daily to check if new stock is in.
